About Electrical Engineering Academy

What is the Electrical Engineering Academy?

• EEA is a unique academic experience focused on engineering.
• Students start the program at Jasper High School in 9th grade.  11th graders move to Plano West Senior High School. 
• Students earn high school credits simultaneously with college credits, starting their junior year.
• Instruction is provided by college-credentialed faculty from East Texas A&M University.
• Students can earn up to 53 college credit hours, including 6 electrical engineering credit hours.
